Cold, windy conditions greeted competitors at the state meet in Carson, but it didn't hamper the state's track and field athletes. Here is a look at what happened:

D1 - Team Champs - Boys- Silverado  Girls - Centennial (6th consecutive)

Girls

- Jessica Ozoude, Spanish Springs:  Wins 100 (12.29 -3.3), 200 (24.29 -.8) and 400 (55.35).

- Karina Haymore, Centennial: She won the 800 (2:09.80 Nevada state meet record and faster than any Nevada prep since Kathy Weston in 1975) and 1600 (5:08.70).

- Charleen Jordan, Green Valley: Wins and Defends 100HH and 300IH (14.28 -2.3 / 43.20).

- Cydnee Bush, Palo Verde: Wins Long Jump with 19-2.25 +1.9.

- Jill McPherson, Bishop Gorman: Freshman 4th in Discus 128-03 #6 US Freshman Mark

Boys

- Devion Clayton, Silverado: Wins 100m by .003 over Tre James, Las Vegas (10.885-10.888).

- Zakee Washington, Silverado: Wins 400 (47.27).

- Jon Munyan, Douglas:  Upset 1600m winner in 4:26.69.

- Savon Scarver, Centennial: Broke the state meet record in the 300 hurdles 37.83.

- Matthew Arnold, Silverado: Won the TJ 48-04.25 (0.0).

- Ian Schulz, Carson: Wins Shot Put 59-2.75 2nd in Discus 176-06.

Girls

- Kalijah Williams, Del Sol: Wins 100 by .004 over Coryney O'Neal, Sierra Vista (12.673/12.677).

- Maya Brosch, South Tahoe: Wins 400 (57.74) and 300 Hurdles (43.99 - State Meet Record).

- Marissa Richey, Elko: Wins and Ties State Meet Record in Pole Vault - 11-0.

- Ariel Washington, Cheyenne: Wins Shot and Discus (37-08.25/107-01).

Boys

- Amari Calvillo-Tatum, Desert Pines: Wins 200/400 (22.58/49.35).

- Chase Wood, Faith Lutheran: Wins 1600/3200 (4:29.78/9:57.64).

- R.J. Hubert, Moapa Valley:  Wins Long Jump (22-10.00 +1.0); Wins 110 Hurdles 14.62 (0.0) , 2nd in 300 Hurdles (39.27), 2nd HJ (6-4).

- Jonathan Spearman, Del Sol: Wins Triple Jump 45-7.50 (+4.3); 2nd in Long Jump 22-00.00 (+6.0).

- Zachary Hawley, Dayton: Wins Shot Put with New State Meet Record (60-1.00) , 3rd in Discus (180-01).

- Samuel Gomez, Boulder City: Wins Discus with New State Meet Record (189-11), 2nd in Shot Put 53-10.25.
